Chris Hodge is an independent advisor on governance and regulation. For ten years until 2014, Chris was Director of Corporate Governance at the Financial Reporting Council in the UK. In that capacity he was responsible for the UK Corporate Governance Code and for introducing the first national stewardship code for investors. Chris then served as the FRC’s Director of Strategy from 2014 to 2016.
Chris is currently an advisor to ICSA: The Governance Institute, the International Corporate Governance Network, and Board Intelligence. Other current activities include working with EBRD and Nestor Advisors to develop a new corporate governance code for Croatia, chairing the Global Stewardship Codes Network, and sitting on the International Advisory Board of Hawkamah, a corporate governance institute in Dubai.
Chris was the first chair of the European Corporate Governance Code Network, which brings together bodies responsible for national codes across Europe to exchange views and share good practice. Chris was a member of the Hellenic Corporate Governance Council from 2012 to 2017.
